I had a mixed experience at Scandic Holmenkollen Park. The views over Oslo were amazing, and the breakfast spread was one of the best I've encountered. However, I faced some issues with the service at check-in and the overall cleanliness of the room, which could use some attention. With a bit more focus on guest experience, this hotel could truly shine.

Rooms

The room was quite spacious and modern, but I was disappointed by the cleanliness under the beds during my stay. While I appreciated the size and upgrades, I think the lack of a fridge is a significant drawback, especially when it comes to storing food.
Service
6.0
The reception staff showed varied levels of professionalism. While some were helpful, I initially dealt with an abrupt receptionist who lacked friendliness. The bar staff in the evening were particularly impressive, bringing warmth and great service.
Location

The hotel's location is superb for exploring Oslo and getting to outdoor activities like skiing, although the walk from the subway can be challenging, especially in icy conditions. The stunning views from the hotel are a major highlight.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of options available. However, the dinner experience left much to be desired, as the quality of food didn't live up to the high prices. The restaurant staff could also benefit from improved customer service.
Facilities
7.0
Although the gym and common areas were well-equipped, I faced challenges trying to access the pool facilities without prior reservations. Better communication from staff about scheduling needs would enhance the experience.

My stay at Scandic Holmenkollen Park was truly nice, thanks to the amazing views of Oslo and the fjord from my room. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a fantastic variety of dishes. However, I did find the acoustics in the breakfast area to be a bit off, making for a less-than-quiet experience. While the hotel's architecture is stunning, I noticed a few areas, like the spa management and housekeeping, that could use improvement.

The hotel is perfectly situated on a hilltop with easy access to beautiful nature and ski areas, though getting into central Oslo requires a bit of a journey.

Breakfast was really good, with options that catered to all tastes, but the dinner service felt a bit strained during peak hours, leading to long waits.

The gym was great, definitely one of the best I've seen, but the spa booking process left a lot to be desired.

My stay at Scandic Holmenkollen Park was quite a mixed experience. The stunning views of Oslo from my room were amazing, especially during breakfast. though the food temperature left something to be desired. The staff were friendly, but I did encounter some inefficiencies that dampened the overall experience. Plus, accessing the hotel from the train station was more challenging than expected due to the icy walk. Overall, while there were some highlights, improvements are needed.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, featuring modern amenities. However, it could use some updates and a thorough revamp.
Service

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, though some moments felt a bit rushed and less attentive. I noticed some management issues during busy times, especially at breakfast.
Location

The hotel's location offered a picturesque view of the fjord, and convenient access to public transport made it easy to explore Oslo. However, getting to the hotel from the nearest station involved a steep, icy climb.
Dining

Breakfast had a vast array of options which was fantastic, though I found the warm dishes to be cold on my visit. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was also a pleasant experience, but the options were somewhat limited.
Facilities

Facilities such as the pool and spa were decent but could be crowded during peak times. I appreciated the gym and the beautiful architecture around the hotel.

My stay at Scandic Holmenkollen Park was a mixed experience. The hotel boasts amazing views of Oslo and the fjord, and the breakfast is truly really good. However, I found the dining options to be somewhat limited, and the parking rates were quite high. Overall, it has its highlights but also some drawbacks that potential guests should consider.

I enjoyed my room, which was spacious and had large windows overlooking beautiful gardens. However, some amenities like a minibar were missing, which was disappointing.
Service

The staff were friendly and helpful during my stay. Although there were a few hiccups with room arrangements, they handled it well and remained professional.
Location

The hotel is located in a lovely quiet setting, about a 30-minute metro ride to the city center. The views are stunning, but the steep walk from the nearest metro station is something to be prepared for.
Dining

Breakfast was a highlight of my stay with its wide variety of delicious options. However, I found the dinner menu at Park Cafe limited and the prices quite steep for what was offered.

While the gym was well-equipped, the sauna and pool were not up to par during my visit. The wellness area had potential but needed better maintenance and cleanliness.

My stay at Scandic Holmenkollen Park was quite nice, thanks to the amazing views of Oslo and the beautiful architecture that surrounds the hotel. However, I found the room a bit on the small side and lacking some extra touches that would have made my experience more comfortable. While the breakfast offered a good variety, some of the warm food was disappointingly cold. Overall, I enjoyed my visit, but there were areas that could be improved to enhance the guest experience.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean and comfortable, but it felt smaller than expected and lacked plenty of hooks for jackets and coats. A bit more attention to decor would have added to the cozy atmosphere.
Service
7.0
The staff was generally friendly and attentive, although they seemed to be stretched at times due to a shortage of cleaning personnel. I felt that the service could benefit from a bit more warmth and enthusiasm.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is fantastic with stunning views of the fjord and easy access to public transport. It's a bit of a trek uphill from the nearest station, but the scenery makes it worthwhile.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast buffet was impressive in variety, but I found some of the food items supposed to be warm were actually cold. Dinner service at the hotel restaurant was less than favorable, with issues in service and food quality.
Facilities
7.0
The common areas were cozy and inviting, especially by the fireplaces. The wellness area had the potential for relaxation, though it was busy during peak times and it could get noisy.
